The purpose of blogging among bloggers has been the subject of a sizable amount of research (Bar-Ilan 2005). According to the growing patterns of blogging, research on bloggers is still in its infancy and necessitates regular updates. However, as blogging meets fundamental human wants, motivations for blogging have persisted over time. We don't make a distinction between reasons for starting blogs and reasons for maintaining blogs because there isn't one in the research, but we are aware that the two may not be the same.

It is necessary to conduct more research on this issue. According to our analysis, blogging can satisfy the following seven needs: (1) the need for self-expression; (2) the need for acknowledgment; (3) the need for social interaction; (4) the need for reflection; and (5) the need for academic knowledge and interests.
